Innovative Health Products, Inc. emerged as a result of my own recovery experience following a facelift. I was in a good deal of pain and simply wanted to keep my head in the freezer! I craved cold! The pain medication made me nauseous and slowed down my body’s natural healing process. I just wanted the soothing relief
of cold therapy.

My doctor’s instructions were to hold bags of frozen peas to my face and take pain medication as needed. However, I couldn’t enjoy a cup of tea, read a newspaper, use my hands for anything else, or even lie down and go to sleep while holding bags of frozen peas on my face! The field of plastic surgery has evolved with many new techniques and new products being introduced every day. However, the recovery process has remained virtually unchanged! It is still widely recommended that the patient use bags of frozen peas to alleviate the post-operative pain, swelling and bruising. In addition, prescription pain medicine is recommended to control the post-operative discomfort. However these narcotic analgesics can actually slow down the body’s natural healing process.
